Rob Walker -
My plan was to avoid women and lay low my senior year. I just wanted to focus on winning a basketball tournament, graduating, and getting drafted into the NBA. But as the saying goes, as soon as you stop trying to meet someone, you’ll meet someone, because out of the blue I met Beth LeMond. It’s weird, but ever since, my life is looking like the complex story-line in The Tale Trilogy novels and it’s killing me! All I need now is patience, as I wait to see how my ‘Tale of Romance’ will end.
Bridgett LeMond -
I secretly made a fortune writing The Tale Trilogy under a pen name. But even with all my success, I find myself struggling with insecurities. I finally managed to leave my old boyfriend and get a place of my own, because I don’t mind living alone. However, now it seems my new good-looking neighbor has taken an interest in me. Yeah right! I don’t believe it for a second! Why would a hot professional quarterback be interested in me? I know for a fact relationships in real life can never live up to the romantic story found in my novel.
Duncan Adams -
I was a completely unknown actor when I was discovered in a tiny theatre in London and offered the lead role in the Hollywood blockbuster series entitled, The Tale Trilogy. Once I moved to Los Angeles and filming began, I've become a huge star, and now my life is absolute madness! For instance, after the break-up with my beautiful co-star, my Director had the gall to arrange these ghastly public appearances for me. Why isn't it obvious to the Tale fans that this is all a publicity stunt? What a load of rubbish! Thank goodness my new personal assistant isn't a complete nutter. She has introduced me to a talented musical composer and as a result I have found my true passion in life. Now I have to find the faith to follow my heart.
When the three come together on the live television morning program, The Lucinda Michaels Show, secrets are revealed and second chances are offered in the surprising conclusion that will leave readers wondering: Who Has the Heart?
Who Has the Heart?
** This book was given to be by the author for an honest review**
Selena's Thoughts: First, I would like to start off by saying I enjoyed the stories in this book. They were very sweet and kept me entertained so I was never bored.
Now for the hard part. As you can see I have not given this book any stars. This is an absolute first for me. I have rated a few books low (God that hurts) and I have rated many many books high (because I seem to love them all) but I have never been in this predicament. I don't wanna pick apart this book page by page but I want you all to understand how I feel. If others choose to read this book after reading this review then I want them to feel I was honest with my feelings and not just adding a lot of fluff.
When I am reading a book I have certain things I like and other things I don't. I understand that this varies from reader to reader, but here are my dislikes. I had a little bit of a problem with the cover. I think it leads the reader to believe that they are (maybe) getting a racy romance novel and this is not the case. This is a very "clean cut" book. I think ANYONE over the age of 13 could read it and not have a parent freak out. While the book does mention things such as; physical abuse, abortion, alcoholism and cheating, I dont feel the author delved deep enough into them to be considered inappropriate for younger audiences. There is no cursing, (unless Holy Moly and heavens to Betsy count) and there are no "sex scenes". These are not in anyway off-putting, I just don't feel the cover matches that aspect of the book.
I was really captivated by the stories in the book; I got the heart flutters from time to time and even cried happy tears. But, I couldn't help but wish the stories were longer. Maybe the book should have been made into 3 separate books that are all tied together at the end of the third book the way they were all tied together at the end of the third "story". I loved each one in a different way, but they felt rushed, under-developed. I just wanted more from each. Another thing about the stories I disliked was the POV shift. The stories jump from first person to third person with the POV changes. I don't care for this. I feel a book should find a flow and stick with it.
I have chosen not to rate the book because a low star rating would not be fair to the parts of the stories I enjoyed. However, a high star rating would make me feel like I wasn't being truly honest with MY "readers". If people do choose to read this book. I hope they will enjoy the sweetness behind each story and how they are all tied together in the end. And if you do read it then YOU can decide. ^_^ and be sure to rate it on Goodreads and/or where ever your book was purchased.
