My thoughts: I can not believe I am going to say this BUT ... Brady totally stole my heart away from Garrett. After reading A Beautiful Lie I was sold on this series. TE Sivec has proven she can write and damn thing she wants, but she continues to amaze me.
Brady goes into the the job as Layla's bodyguard thinking he already has her pegged .... WRONG. He quickly finds out that looks are very deceiving and you should almost never trust what you THINK you see. Layla is a girl who always has her guard up, she has been hurt and trampled on so many times she is not willing to take that chance. To see the love grow between her and Brady was spectacular.
When reading a good romance I always find myself thinking .... ok this man is about to open his mouth and say completely the wrong thing and screw everything up. But with Brady he always says the right thing, he knows what Layla needs to hear and he says it perfectly. Until the moment that he doesn't, and it is that moment when all hell breaks loose....
If you haven't started this series yet, you should definitely give it a shot. You will be glad you did.
