About the Author
Tara Sivec is a best selling author, wife, mom, chauffeur, cheerleading coach, soccer coach, babysitter, short-order cook, genius and albino squirrel hunter. She lives in Ohio with her husband and two kids. In her spare time she likes to read, write and cover things in chocolate. Most of her material comes from real life experiences with family and friends. Lucky for them, the names have been changed to protect the innocent (aka, drunk).

Troubles and Treats

Synopsis
Drew and Jenny have spent years being the envy of their friends with their out of control sex lives - well, not really. Mostly it makes their friends want to throw up in their mouths a little.

With two little kids and two busy lives, for the first time, Drew and Jenny aren't on the same page in the bedroom. Drew will stop at nothing to get his previously amorous wife back in the sack and Jenny will do anything for a full night of sleep.

Carter and Claire, and Jim and Liz are their usual (un)helpful selves and are full of advice for the disconnected duo, wanting nothing more than to help restore order to the usually happy couple's lives.

In the third and final installment of the Chocolate Lovers Series, will Drew and Jenny find the spark that's been missing in their marriage, or will the trouble they're having cause a stickier situation than the time Jenny poured honey all over Drew and he fused himself to a tree.

My Review; 5+ Stars

My thoughts; Raise your hand if you have read Seduction and Snacks. Now raise your other hand if you have read Futures and Frosting. Now... if you are sitting there with both hands raised; First, put them down you look like a fool. And second, you MUST read Troubles and Treats. This was a totally fitting and EPIC end to a wonderful series.

This book has everything that the first two books has and more. Spending time with Drew and Jenny was so much fun. They are both ridiculous and I love them immensely! You get to follow along with them as they face the same troubles that all new parents face.

I found myself relating to Jenny on a personal level. I have been there done that and NEVER want to return. My kids are 16 and 12, so long gone are the days of diapers and sleepless nights. Now it is all about trying to argue with a twelve year old and still sound like an adult. I also came to realize that it is quite possible that I am married to Drew. He has changed his name but I am pretty convinced that he and my husband are one and the same.

It should go without saying that I laughed uncontrollably while reading Troubles and Treats. I got dirty looks from aforementioned husband for waking him up at an ungodly hour because I could not contain my laughter. I redeemed myself by reading him a few passages. He did not cackle like a hyena the way I was but he definitely laughed. ^,^

"I have to say that the ending of this book was perfect. The way Tara chose to write it is amazing. I had real tears in my eyes as it came to an end. And I will forever hope that one day we will see more from this group of friends."

First, I would like to welcome you here and say I am honored to have been included in your Promo Blitz and Blog Tour!!

Selena: Having read your Chocolate Lovers series, I have to say I am kinda sad it is over. But, all good things must come to and end. So...what's next? Do you have any new projects in the works or are you just taking a much needed rest?

Tara: I would LOVE to take a rest, but resting is for sissies LOL!  My newest project is a romantic/suspense novel titled “A Beautiful Lie” that will be out on January 3rd.  It’s being published under the name T.E. Sivec.

Selena: I personally have never laughed as much while reading a book as much as I did while reading Seductions and Snacks. Specifically the part where Carter is having an anxiety attack in the middle of the library. For you, as you are writing, how easy is it for you to get pulled into the story and laugh as well?

Tara: I’m awful about this, just ask my beta reader!  I never laugh at what I write.  Whenever I send a chapter to my beta I’m like, “I don’t know about this one.  I don’t think it’s funny.”  She’s very good at boosting my ego!

Selena: What was your favorite thing about writing this series?

Tara: The characters.  I love them so much and I really did cry a little when I wrote “The End”.  I called my husband into my office and was like “I can’t believe it’s over.”  The good thing is, these characters are so similar to some of my friends and family that I never really have to say good-bye to them!

  Selena: What was your least?

Tara: Trying to come up with new, funny situations for the gang.  In the first two books, I used a lot of real-life conversations and experiences.  My life has been kind of boring lately so I had nothing to draw from LOL!

Selena: What inspired you to start writing this series?

Tara: As cliché as it sounds, a dream.  I had a dream that I went to a party, had a one night stand and got pregnant.  I woke up horrified and then couldn’t fall back to sleep.  The story just wouldn’t leave my head and I kept thinking about how funny it was because it’s the exact opposite of my life.

Selena: What will you miss most about this series and the characters?

Tara: How much fun it was to write about them.  It never really seemed like work when I would sit down and concentrate on them.  It just felt like talking to friends.  With my new genre of romantic/suspense, I’m working way outside my comfort zone and have to be much more disciplined.  I can’t just be like “Oh, hey, this would make a great chapter!” I have to actually do an outline and research and be like, a real writer and stuff LOL!

Selena: As a reader I get overly anxious and excited for the release of a book I have been waiting to read. How do you as the author feel as the release day for your book is approaching??

Tara: Nervous as hell!  I’m excited for people to see what’s been in my head the last few months, but I kind of want to puke a little too.  As an author, your book is like your baby and you’re showing it to the world for the first time.  You really don’t want to hear someone tell you that your baby is ugly as fuck.

Selena: If you could build a time machine and go back in time and read any book again for the first time, which would it be?

Tara: Oh my gosh, do I have to pick just one?!  It would have to be “Why Girls are Weird” by Pamela Ribon.  That book is what made me want to write comedy.

Selena: If Gavin ran for president what would his campaign slogan be?

Tara: “Vote for me or I’ll kick you in the nuts.”

Let's add in some nonsense.....

Q: If you were ice cream what flavor would you be?

A: Strawberry.  Because it’s pink and pink is pretty.

Q: If there is Zombie apocalypse, who gets eaten first you or your husband?

A: Oh, definitely my husband.  I’m sorry, honey, but if zombie’s are chasing us, I’m pushing you down and getting the fuck out of dodge while they’re busy eating your face.

Q: If you could drive any car in the world what kind would it be?

A: A clown car.  Even though I hate clowns, I would love to pull up to a party and have people watch 65 of my friends pile out of it.  I’d have to find 65 friends first though.  And a party.

I asked my niece to give me 3 STUPID totally random questions and here is what she wants to ask you. To be fair she didn't know what I wanted the questions for. But now that they are asked.... Thanks Ashley for being totally random I knew I could count on you :-)

Q: What is your happiest smell (yes she said smell)?

A: Ha!  Johnson’s Baby Lotion.  But only when it’s on my kids.  Other people’s kids suck and never smell as good as mine.

Q: What is your favorite day?

A: Boxing Day in Canada.  I have no idea what that day is or means, but it’s fun to say.  “Happy Boxing Day!  Let me punch you in the face now.”  Does Boxing Day have anything to do with boxing?  I should probably Google that.

Q: Why are you so awesome?

A: Because on the day I was born, the angels looked down from above and said “Look at her, she’s just full of awesome.”
